HENLEY 4ths got their league campaign off to a flying start as they thrashed newly-promoted Bicester Development 4-0.
Debutants Adam Warner and Phil Biggs looked strong straight from the off and were much needed additions to the side with the loss of Ian Rechner to the third team.
Henley started strong and after a winding run and a strong hit from outside the area from Jules Herbert, Neil Emmett pounced on the rebound off of the post and swept it in on his reverse stick.
The amber and blues could have had several more goals before half-time but were not able to put away their chances.
In the second half Henley sped out of the blocks and immediately put on the pressure with Herbert again dumbfounding the opposition with a skilful run before slipping it into Jules Aplin who finished calmly.
Soon after good work from Biggs led to an easy tap-in for Simon Taylor to make it 3-0.
Spotting an opportunity for a debut goal, Adam Warner positioned himself in the area and was rewarded with a ball from Taylor that he volleyed into the left corner of the goal to complete the scoreline.
