HENLEY U10s competed at two venues in the latest round of the Thames Valley mini tournament.

Three seven-a-side teams each took part in games organised at Bracknell and Wokingham hockey clubs.

At a blustery Wokingham, all three teams acquitted themselves well despite some strong opposition.

The first team were unbeaten thanks to goals from Mia Moore, ably assisted by Lily Wylie up front, and Lucy Herbert and Sophie Farquar in midfield. Connor Botha and Jessica Brindle were solid across the pitch while Ela Chamberlain provided width on the right. Notable scores were a 4-0 victory over Marlow and a hard fought 1-1 against Reading.

The second team ended with three goalless draws and a 1-0 victory against Reading while the third team fought well but struggled in the face of strong opposition.

The three Henley teams at the Bracknell tournament were all unbeaten throughout the morning.

Ollie Paice, Fabian Cheesman and Calum Forrest all played well while Katy Shaw, Emily Simmons and Sam Phillips provided good attacking skills in wide roles.
