Creighton nets treble as Shiplake put Lord Wandsworth College to sword

SHIPLAKE College U14A side eased to a comfortable 6-1 win against Lord Wandsworth College in their first match

SHIPLAKE College U14A side eased to a comfortable 6-1 win against Lord Wandsworth College in their first match of the season in a game that saw Callum Creighton score a hat-trick.

Arthur Langelur opened the scoring with a well-taken goal from the left wing before Callum Creighton made it 2-0 just before half-time.

Rory Diez-Harrison became more prominent in the second half as Shiplake played with a little more width. This took its toll on Lord Wandsworth who, despite getting a goal back, began to tire.

Tom Lynskey latched on to some good interplay in the opposition D to make it 3-1. The game then became one sided with Shiplake beginning to play with confidence as Ed Gilbert Blay began to drive forcefully towards goal, Langelur continued to dictate play while Jacob Kirby displayed good skill.

Creighton scored two more to complete his hat-trick before Kirby netted a reverse stick shot. Jack Underwood, Dom Deakin and Toby Gorringe also impressed.

SHIPLAKE College U15A side triumphed in their first match of the season against Lord Wandsworth College.

The hosts took the lead when a well-worked move down the left flank ended up with Callum Theadorou scoring. Following the goal Shiplake failed to capitalise on numerous chances by taking too long to get their shots on goal.

In the second half Shiplake netted two more goals through Jack Rees and Harry Ingram before Lord Wandsworth pulled a goal back from a counterattack move.
