SHIPLAKE produced a convincing win over Padworth College on Wednesday last week.
After winning the coin toss, they started brightly following the first centre pass by Mimi Brough.
Shiplake’s passes were fast and snappy and within the first seven minutes, they took a 6-0 lead.
Then there some great defending from Emily Duncan at goalkeeper in which she was almost twice the height of their goal shooter.
Poppy Stebbings registered the first goal on a double obstruction, which was followed by some other great goals between both Poppy and Lauren Way.
They were supported by some fierce defending from Sophia Gibbs, who kept Shiplake in possession and led to Emily Duncan scoring four more goals.
Padworth pulled a goal back but they trailed 10-1 at half-time.
Shiplake continued to dominate after the break with their slick, quick passing. Their 13th goal came in only four passes.
Way then scored three more goals to end the game 16-2. Shiplake’s player of the match was chosen by Padworth and was given to Emma King-Lewis.
