Henley Town Council by-election confirmed

Henley Town Council by-election confirmed

A BY-ELECTION for a seat on Henley Town Council has been confirmed.

It comes after Conservative Dylan Thomas stood down from his seat in the north ward.

The former Army intelligence officer has accepted a new senior role in the civil service so had to drop any political commitments.

South Oxfordshire District Council has confirmed there will be a by-election for the vacant seat, with nominations opening on March 27.

The deadline for nominations is 4pm on April 4.

It is understood the vote will be on May 4, the same day as the Oxfordshire County Council elections.
