Library offers help tracing family trees

ARE you interested in researching your family history but don’t know quite where to begin?

Henley Library in Ravenscroft Road is running a beginners’ training session later this month.

Librarian Tricia Lovell said: “It will cover resources held in the library. We have subscriptions to ‘Find My Past’ and ‘Ancestry’, old parish records, etc, and give guidance on how to start.” The two-hour session will take place from 11am on Tuesday, February 21.

Tricia added: “It is free but spaces are limited, so anyone wishing to take part should book by ringing Henley Library on 01865 815278.”

Other regular events at the library include “Rhymetime” sessions for the under-fives from 9.30am to 10am on Tuesdays and a weekly knitting group from 10.30am to 11.30am on Thursdays.
