A FORMER student of The Henley College has published her first novel.
Iona Gibert, 17, took four months to write The Spada Map at the same time as she was studying for her International Baccalaureate.
She published the book through Amazon’s CreateSpace, which is a free service for aspiring writers.
The book tells the story of a young girl called Rose who moves to Blackpool to escape a secret from her past.She befriends a stranger who appears to be helpful but her secret, which is revealed later in the story, begins to catch up with her.
Iona moved to Britain from France in 2011. She lives in Calcot, Reading, and works for software firm Symantec but hopes to become a full-time author.
