Getting gory in Goring

A MURDER writer from America says her latest detective novel was inspired by a holiday in the quintessentially English village

A MURDER writer from America says her latest detective novel was inspired by a holiday in the quintessentially English village of Goring.

Rebecca Yount, who stayed in the village last summer, has set The Mouldwarp Prophecy in a fictional English village called Gap.

Rebecca and her husband, from Washington DC, visit British towns to get ideas. The latest is the eighth in her Mick Chandra detective series and features the Thames Path.

The stories are available as e-books from www.amazon.co.uk
