NOVELIST Joanna Trollope will speak at this year’s Wargrave Festival.

NOVELIST Joanna Trollope will speak at this year’s Wargrave Festival.

The 71-year-old will appear at the Wargrave Words event at Woodclyffe Hall on June 16.

She is best known for her 1991 novel The Rector’s Wife and for Parson Harding’s Daughter, which was named romantic novel of the year in 1980. In 1996 she was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list.

The festival runs for two weeks with more than 40 theatre, music and sports events across the village.
