THE widely-acclaimed Isuzu D-Max has collected yet another accolade — the prestigious 2013 VansA2Z Pick-Up of the Year Award, announced in London last week.

Launched last June, the D-Max has quickly established itself as a worthy successor to the popular Rodeo and has become a big sales hit, elevating the Japanese brand to second place in the UK pick-up sales rankings.



IN the 2012 financial year, Porsche achieved record levels in sales, turnover and earnings. At 143,096 vehicles, sales were 22 per cent higher than in the previous year.

Turnover increased by 27 per cent to 13.9 billion euros, while the operating result grew by 19 per cent to 2.44 billion euros. Moreover, the number of employees reached a new peak, totalling 17,502 at the end of the year.

VOLKSWAGEN has revealed its first fully electric production vehicle: the new e-up!.

The four-seat car — which operates with nearly zero noise — was shown at the Annual Press and Investors Conference in Wolfsburg. The new e-up! has a driving range of 150km.

MITSUBISHI’s state-of-the-art Specialist Vehicle Operations Centre, which refits, adapts and upgrades standard Mitsubishi models to meet individual client requirements, is entering its busiest period ever.

Over the next three months, the Cirencester-based operation will turn out more high-spec vehicles than it does in the average year, taking on additional skilled staff and adding new shifts to keep pace with growing demand.

Currently MSVO’s (Mitsubishi Specialist Vehicle Operations) bulging order book boasts commissions from an array of high profile fleet operators including the Environment Agency, National Grid and Ministry of Defence.

KODA will present the world première of the all-new Octavia RS at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, from July 11 to 14.

Based on the new generation Octavia that has been launched across Europe from early 2013, the new RS will be longer, wider and lighter than its predecessor and will be the fastest road-going KODA Octavia yet.
