MAZDA recorded a new entry in the Guinness Book of World Records during the big MAX-5 2013 event in the Netherlands.

A total of 683 Mazda MX-5s joined a procession on the roads around the RDW Test Centre at Lelystad, forming the longest parade of driving Mazdas ever.

1,450 participants contributed to the successful record attempt, shattering the existing record for the “largest parade of Mazda cars” — 459 Mazda MX-5s set in Essen, Germany in 2010.

THE all-new KODA Octavia has been honoured as “Tow Car of the Year 2013” by a panel of industry and media experts. It was voted number one from a list of 46 vehicles. The car arrived in KODA showrooms in March and this is its first award.

ALFA ROMEO has unveiled more production information about the forthcoming Alfa 4C, which will be making its UK debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The “compact supercar” with two bucket seats uses technologies and materials derived from the 8C Competizione — carbon, aluminium, rear-wheel drive — and technologies from the latest Alfa Romeo models.

The Alfa 4C uses 10 per cent carbon fibre which represents 25 per cent of the car’s overall volume. Carbon fibre currently offers the best weight/stiffness efficiency.
