American rocks up in town

CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT, a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, returns to Henley this weekend to play

CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT, a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, returns to Henley this weekend to play the final two shows of his three-week UK pub tour.

His one-man show of classic British and American Rock began at the Angel on the Bridge last month and will end at the Victoria with performances from 7pm to 10pm tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

Christopher has performed in southern California for years but dreamed of playing in UK pubs so he boarded a plane, flew to Heathrow, rented a car and started knocking on pub doors asking to play.

He says: “Growing up in America in the Sixties, much of what we knew about England came from the music of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and countless other British pop and rock bands.

“British and American classic rock was the soundtrack to our lives, and through it we found a better world. I’ve come to bring some of this amazing music back.”
