Young fiddlers in music-making day

Young fiddlers in music-making day
YOUNG violinists from Henley took part in a music day at Greyfriars Church in Reading on March 22.

More than 80 children from Berkshire and Oxfordshire, many of whom rehearse at Henley’s Christ Church Centre, participated in violin groups, musicianship classes, violin-maker’s demonstrations and singing for children and their parents.

The day ended in a grand concert in which all the children performed.

The event was organised by violin teachers Sophie Roseveare, Helen Hines, Anna Del Nevo and Helen Styles who are based in Henley, Reading, Emmer Green and Maidenhead.

Teacher Anna Del Nevo said: “It was a fun and inspirational day of music-making as well as a chance for the children to show off their violin playing skills.”
