SEVERAL local charities are set to benefit from this year’s Beacon Festival.
More than 2,000 people attended the weekend event at Watlington Hill Farm in June.
About £5,000 was raised which will be divided between Watlington scouts, the Rivertime Boat Trust, which operates a boat on the Thames for disabled people, Watlington and Chalgrove Children’s Centre, Watlington Pre-School and Watlington library.
The boutique family event, which celebrated the longest day of summer, featured more than 40 local, international and tribute bands performing across three stages.
The acts included Rusty Shackle, Bon Giovi, Maharaja Blues, 1877, Prog Floyd, Antix and Rouge.
