Folkies take note

FOLK singer and fiddler Dave Swarbrick is credited with heralding the “Second Folk Revival” during the Seventies with his band Fairport Convention.

He will be playing at the Corn Exchange in Wallingford on April 19 — and he’s looking for a local folk solo artist or duo to perform three songs at the start of the show, entitled An Evening With Swarb.

The act can be of any age of any experience. Dave will personally choose which act is to be selected. Interested acts should live within 50 miles of the venue and must be prepared to play for free.

To be in with a chance to perform alongside Dave Swarbrick send a message or make a public face on the Folkstock Arts Foundation facebook page.
