SIXTY bands in eight venues will rock Reading this weekend to raise money for Oxfam.
Now in its third year, Oxjam Reading Takeover is part of a national day of music to raise funds for the charity. Billed as the best festival in Reading after the Reading Festival, Oxjam features more than 60 local acts with entry available with one ticket, working under the slogan “local music, global impact”.
This year the line-up includes the John Steel Singers, Jimi Raine, Sister Gracie and Fish Hook. Each venue will run from 12 noon until late and there will also be an Oxjam market in Reading’s Market Place.
The Oxjam bus will be in Broad Street where gig-goers will be able to find out venue and band information.
The event in Reading is one of a host of concerts to be held nationwide.
