EVER fancied belting out the Hallelujah Chorus but never had the chance?

Henley’s fourth annual choir festival could be the place for you.

The evening event at St Mary’s Church in Henley invites everyone to come along and listen to local choirs perform from 7pm.

And for those who like the idea of joining in, rehearsals for a “Bring and Sing” of Handel’s Messiah Part One and the Hallelujah Chorus start from 4.30pm.

The evening concert features a number of local choirs, including St Mary’s Henley, St John from Kidmore End, Harpsden Church, All Saints in Rotherfield Peppard, Aliquando, St Mary’s in Hambleden, St Nicholas in Greys, Shiplake Church and Dunsden Church.

The conductor for the evening is Jonathan White, and the organist is David Old.

Tickets for listening or taking part, are £5.

All proceeds from the event will go to Camp Mohawk, a day centre in Crazies Hill for children on the autistic spectrum.

If you would like to buy a ticket or are interested in taking part, contact David Butler on 0118 972 4065 or Elizabeth Hodgkin on (01491) 573192.

Happy singing!
