Concert is family affair

A SELECTION of music from Schubert to Sondheim will form the repertoire of a fundraising concert at St Bartholomew’s Church

A SELECTION of music from Schubert to Sondheim will form the repertoire of a fundraising concert at St Bartholomew’s Church in Nettlebed next weekend.

The concert is a family affair. Andrew Marlow, a member of the English Guitar Quartet and Henley-based band The Springfields, will play guitar. His wife Helma, a soprano, will sing, and his 18-year-old son, Toby, who has just passed his grade 8 singing exam with a distinction, will also sing.

Joining them are Felix Burrell on piano and Guy Andrews who will do readings.

The concert starts at 7.45pm on Saturday, May 18 but refreshments, including wine, will be served from 7pm. Monies raised will go to support the church.

Tickets are £12.50 and available by calling (01491) 641394 or email pleigh@onetel.com
