A WEST END star from Wargrave will return to the village later this year for a charity concert.

Adam Linstead, who lived in Ridgeway and attended the Piggott School, is currently cast in the roles of Bishop Myriel and Grantaire in Les Misérables.

He will be back in Wargrave on Sunday, November 10 as he performs a variety of songs from musicals to raise money for the Wargrave Heritage Trust. Some of his West End co-stars will accompany him.

The concert will be in Woodclyffe Hall in High Street, starting at 4pm. Tickets cost £12 and are available from Ann Roberts on 0118 940 2656.

In 2008, Mr Linstead performed at a concert in Wargrave to raise money for Operation Hernia, a charity that sends medical teams to Africa.

He was joined by fellow West End stars David Lawrence, Alison Connell, Brian McCann and Rachael Spurrell and local performers Tom Pepper, Lucy Hill and Claire Linstead.
