A night of music and lots of laughs

AN evening of “exquisite” music and humour is on the cards at the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row next Wednesday.

AN evening of “exquisite” music and humour is on the cards at the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row next Wednesday.

Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention is joined by Irish stand-up comedian and songsmith, Anthony John Clarke on November 13.

Belfast-born Anthony John is recognised as one of the top songwriters on the acoustic/folk scene, and has made 12 albums and three singles including Seven In Ireland and Irish Eyes.

Crooked Billet owner Paul Clerehugh said: “The friends draw from a wealth of hits and much-loved songs for an evening of exquisite, outstanding music — and a lot of humour.”
