Christmas concert a cracker

HENLEY Choral Society is preparing for what it hopes will be a cracker of a Christmas carol concert this December.

HENLEY Choral Society is preparing for what it hopes will be a cracker of a Christmas carol concert this December.

Acclaimed brass ensemble Chaconne Brass will deliver their trademark mix of entertainment, creativity and excellence which appeals to audiences of all ages. Meanwhile, under the baton of new musical director Benjamin Goodson, the society will be performing much-loved carols as well as choruses from Handel’s Messiah.

The children of St Mary’s School will add their angelic voices and the audience will be able to join in with their favourite carols. There will also be the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine and a mince pie.

The Christmas carol concert takes place on Tuesday, December 10 at 7.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Henley. Tickets at £15 (U18s £5) are available from the ticket secretary on (01491) 572795 or by person from Gorvett & Stone in Duke Street.
