Choirs combine for sixth annual Festival

THE sixth annual Henley Choir Festival will take place at St Mary?s Church on Saturday, January 24

THE sixth annual Henley Choir Festival will take place at St Mary?s Church on Saturday, January 24.

Seven choirs will take part with each one performing individually in the first half of the programme and then combining, together with other singers, to perform Charpentier?s Messe de Minuit.

The festival is in aid of Helen & Douglas House.

The choirs will be from St Mary?s, All Saints? in Peppard, St Nicholas in Rotherfield Greys, the St Mary?s Hambleden Valley Group Choir, St John the Baptist in Kidmore End, St Margaret?s in Harpsden and Sorores, an all-female choir under the direction of Anne Evans, founder of the Aliquando choir.

The rehearsal for the Messe de Minuit is at 4.30pm and the performance at 7pm.
