MUSIC by some of the biggest names in the industry in the past 50 years can

MUSIC by some of the biggest names in the industry in the past 50 years can be heard at the Hexagon Theatre in Reading on Thursday at 7.30pm.

The Magic of Motown revives the music of the Four Tops, Supremes, Temptations, Jackson 5, Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and more.

Songs such as Stop in the Name of Love, Dancing in the Street, My Guy and I Heard it Through the Grapevine are among the playlist.

“Sixties classics give way to present-day masterpieces from Lionel Richie and Diana Ross,” says show producer Michael Taylor.

“Sadly, many of the original musical legends are either no longer with us or no longer touring. Our young cast is able to reflect the exuberance and excitement of these songs as they were originally performed.”

The tour marks 50 years since the likes of Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas came to the UK in 1965 for a 42-show nationwide tour.

Tickets cost £26.50 from the box office on 0118 960 6060 or online at www.readingarts.com
