AN all-male US college choir set up in 1872 will stop off in Henley next week
AN all-male US college choir set up in 1872 will stop off in Henley next week as part of a tour of England, Wales and the Netherlands.
The 75-strong Rutgers University Glee Club will perform a charity concert at St Mary’s Church at 7.30pm on Sunday, May 24, in aid of Footsteps Foundation.
The concert will include works by Holst and Tallis, as well as contemporary composers Steven Sametz, Joseph Gregorio and Veljo Tormis, and will involve a mixture of traditional sacred, folk songs, sea shanties and spirituals.
Footsteps is an Oxfordshire-based charity which provides funding for intensive physiotherapy for children and young adults affected by a range of disorders including cerebral palsy, neuromotor and neurological disorders and undiagnosed conditions.
