July 4th concert will be All American

THE South Chiltern Choral Society is staging an “All American” concert to coincide with this year’s Independence Day

THE South Chiltern Choral Society is staging an “All American” concert to coincide with this year’s Independence Day celebrations.

The venue is Queen Anne’s School in Henley Road, Caversham.

Stage time is 7pm on Saturday, July 4, but the school grounds will be available for picnics from 5.30pm on the day.

The society will perform Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein, “Old American Songs” arranged by Aaron Copland, and “Jazz Classics” arranged by Gwyn Arch.

This is the third concert to be directed by the society’s conductor, Paul Burke, following on from his acclaimed Christmas and spring concerts.
