TWO of the brightest stars in Henley’s musical firmament are teaming up on Monday night for a concert at Nettlebed Village Club.
Megan Henwood and Jackie Oates will join forces for what Nettlebed Folk Song Club organiser Mike Sanderson called “a much requested concert” following their debut as a duo at the same venue last year.
They will be accompanied on the night by bassist Pete Thomas, who also plays locally with the Tom Michell Trio.
Jackie is a resident singer at Nettlebed Folk Song Club, where Megan is also a regular performer. Both have released well-received solo albums this year and Mr Sanderson said he didn’t think there were any plans to formalise the duo.
He added: “I am sure that this will just sit alongside their solo careers.
Doors open at 8pm on Monday and stage time is 8.15pm for the first half, with the second half starting at around 9.30pm.
Tickets are priced £12.50 in advance or £13.50 on the door. To book, call 01628 636620 or visit the website at www.nettlebedfolkclub.co.uk
