TWO keen musicians from Henley have started up a regular jam session in the town — and are inviting other players to join them.
Dubbed the Henley Jammers, the informal group has been running since September — when 12 people came along to the first session at the Salisbury Club in Queen Street.
It was started up by guitarist Steve Blackall and sax player Bryan McCrae, with the intention of meeting on the first Wednesday of every month.
Their plan is that all music genres and standards of players are welcome — including blues, funk, jazz, rock, indie, etc — and the whole thing will be very informal.
New people are always welcome, the event is open to everyone and Steve and Bryan hope that it will become a regular part of the Henley music scene.
Sessions on the first Wednesday of each month run from 7.30pm to 10pm at the Salisbury Club.
Entry is £5 to cover the hire of the hall.
The next session is on Wednesday, January 6.
Steve and Bryan have also created a Henley Jammers page on Facebook for anyone wanting to find out more.
