Internationally acclaimed pianist Leslie Howard is appearing in the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College on Thursday, March 31, at 7.30pm.

The Australian is performing as part of the college’s International Concert Series 2016.

Mr Howard is best known for being the only pianist to have recorded the complete solo piano works of prolific 19th century composer Franz Liszt.

The project, which included more than 300 premiere recordings, was awarded six Grande Prix du Disque – France’s top musical recording prize - and is widely recognised as one of the monumental achievements in recorded music history.

Mr Howard has been described by the Guardian as “a master of a tradition of pianism in serious danger of dying out”.

Tickets for his concert at Pangbourne College are priced £18 – which includes wine and canapés during the interval, and car parking – and are available to buy online at www.wegottickets.com
