All set for Bloom judging

HENLEY will be judged for the Thames and Chilterns in Bloom competition on Thursday morning.

HENLEY will be judged for the Thames and Chilterns in Bloom competition on Thursday morning.

Judges Norman Parker and Pete Thompson will be taken on a tour of the town by park services manager Gareth Bartle and bloom group chairwoman Kellie Hinton,

Cllr Hinton appealed to residents to clear the streets of litter and make sure their gardens were looking their best.

She said: “Everyone takes real pride in the town and their homes but if we can make sure they are weed- and litter-free that would be wonderful. We have done a lot of the work already but it is just those finishing touches.

“If anyone wants to display welcome messages for the judges that would be a wonderful touch as well.”

Henley has won four consecutive gold awards in the annual competition.
