A BEAUTY spot in Caversham has been given a Green Flag award for the seventh year since its re-opening.

The award means Caversham Court Gardens are officially recognised as being well maintained and managed with excellent facilities.

To earn a Green Flag, parks or open spaces have to demonstrate that not only are standards maintained but also that continuous improvements are being made.

Paul Gittings, Reading Borough Council’s lead member for culture, sport and consumer services, said: “The award is a well-deserved accolade for the huge amount of work done by the council and voluntary groups to keep our parks and open spaces in such magnificent condition.”
