AN oak tree was planted in Wargrave last week to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee.

Children from Robert Piggott junior and infant schools gathered at Kings Field for the occasion.

They were joined by Richard Bush, chairman of Wargrave Parish Council, and Wokingham borough councillor Angus Ross.

The tree planting was due to take place earlier this year but was postponed due to bad weather.
