A FAMILY activities day will be held for the second time to mark a GP’s contribution to two ecological groups.

Dr Anne Millar, who died in October 2013, aged 86, worked in Benson for three decades.

The event will be organised by the Benson Ecological Study Team, which she helped found, and Ewelme watercress beds nature reserve, where it will be held on Thursday from 9.30am.

The activities are free but there will be a charge to cover the cost of a barbecue lunch. Appropriate clothing and Wellington boots are recommended as some of the activities will involve the stream.

Booking for the day is essential. Send an email to Margaret at b.e.connolly @live.co.uk

Dr Millar gave 60 years’ service to the village and helped to plan and build the new Mill Stream Surgery.
