Community composting

A COMMUNITY composting facility could be set up in Benson.

A COMMUNITY composting facility could be set up in Benson.

All residents, not just allotment holders, would be able to use the facility to recycle garden waste and in return have access to compost for their gardens or allotments.

It would save villagers paying for the brown bin collection service and also on car journeys to the Oakley Wood recycling centre.

The parish council wants to ensure there would be sufficient volunteers to help run the scheme. If you can help, call the parish office on (01491) 825018 or send your details by email to benson parish.council@virgin.net
