RESIDENTS of Wargrave, Crazies Hill and Charvil are being urged to take part in a community

RESIDENTS of Wargrave, Crazies Hill and Charvil are being urged to take part in a community litter-pick next weekend (March 19 and 20).

The events are part of Wokingham Borough Council’s ninth annual litter- pick and rubbish will be specially collected from the villages.

Last year, the waste items included  a rocking horse, an electric piano and a deep fat fryer.

The Wargrave litter-pick will take place from 9am to noon on Saturday and volunteers should meet at the war memorial in Mill Green.

Children who take part will be given apples. For more information, call parish councillor Marion Pope on 0118 940 3533.

Crazies Hill residents should meet at The Horns pub at 10.30am on Saturday. For more information, call Rita McLaughlin Pugh on 0118 940 1099.

The Charvil event will be held at 2pm on Sunday, meeting at the village hall. Refreshments will be provided for all volunteers.
