Resident hopes planter will stop grass damage

A PLANTER is to be installed on the corner of a Henley street to stop cars damaging the grass.

Henley in Bloom has backed a request to put one on the corner of Manor Road and Peppard Lane.

Jemima Hume-Humphreys, who lives in Peppard Lane, wants to stop drivers cutting the corner and says she will look after the planter herself.

The Henley in Bloom committee has agreed to pay for a plaque on the planter as a gesture of goodwill at the suggestion of vice-chairwoman Kellie Hinton.
