Victory in fund-raising match for the Staying Alive Foundation

NETTLEBED hosted a charity earlier this week to raise money for the Charles Bertioli Staying Alive

NETTLEBED hosted a charity earlier this week to raise money for the Charles Bertioli Staying Alive Foundation, a local charity run by Barbara and Malcolm Lewis, to raise funds for the Renal Unit of the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The girls raced into a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. After position changes from the boys in the second quarter they started to play more like a team and went into half-time trailing 5-1.

The third quarter saw both sides net three goals each as the girls led 8-4. The girls pulled away in the final quarter with two more goals to one to run out 10-5 winners.
