A DEVELOPER has made a £1,000 donation to the Sue Ryder hospice in Nettlebed.
The money was awarded as a part of Persimmon Homes’s “community champions” initiative.
The hospice will use the money to provide bereavement counselling sessions for 20 families coping with the loss of a loved one.
Ben Smart, a fund-raising assistant at the charity, said: “A big part of our remit is to support the families of the patients. Our expert family support teams provide transformational and dedicated help to the entire family unit.
“We know we can’t change the outcome but we can change the journey for our patients and their families.”
Greg Kaye, sales director at Persimmon Homes North London, said: “The Sue Ryder hospice does outstanding work providing support to those suffering from serious illnesses and their families and we are delighted to support their efforts.”
