Children at the Cabin Pre-School in Woodcote enjoyed their sports day, which was held in a field belonging to the village primary school.
There were traditional events and some more unusual ones, such as a wheelie race involving assorted toys with wheels.
Some parents ended up taking part in the fun races as their children would not run without holding their hands.
Elizabeth Sandham, a member of the pre-school committee, said: "In the egg and spoon race the children seemed very disappointed that no eggs were broken and this may have to be rectified next year to avoid disappointment. The bean bag races seemed to involve bags flying everywhere and somehow deteriorated into water bombs doing the same."
The races were followed by a barbecue, with some of the children’s fathers doing the cooking, and then strawberries and ice cream for dessert.
Mrs Sandham said: "It was lovely to get together and have a great time. Thanks to everyone for supporting this memorable event.
