A NEW pub has joined the sponsors of Henley Youth Festival.
The Quince Tree in Stonor will provide the winners’ medals for the Stonor Fun Run.
The cross-country run will take place in Stonor Park on Saturday, March 24.
The other sponsors are Higgs Group, publisher of the Standard, and Lord and Lady Camoys, who own Stonor Park.
More than 200 runners, aged seven to 11, are expected to participate.
Phil Cowley, general manager of the Quince Tree, said: “We are all about being part of the community and it’s very important this support is not just a one-off.
“The festival is a great opportunity for young people and we’re really proud to support it.”
Festival organiser Tina Jacobs said: “We are grateful for the generous support of the Quince Tree.
“It is this kind of enthusiasm that ensures the festival is great fun for all those involved.
“It costs several thousand pounds each year so sponsorship is essential.”
The Quince Tree is located on the site of the Stonor Arms, which closed in 2004, and is due to open later this spring.
As well as the pub and restaurant, there will be a café, delicatessen and conference room housed in an extension.
