Appeal for more UFO sightings
Published 16/04/12

A MAN from Sonning Common is asking people to report UFO sightings.

Gardener Jeremy Mellor says there have been two sightings in the area over the past 24 years.

The first was made on October 31, 1988 when a triangular-shaped object with lights all around it was seen above Crowsley Way. The UFO was twice the size of a 747 and could be seen between 500ft and 800ft off the ground for 15 minutes.

The second sighting, made on September 2, 1994, was of a tubular object over the A423 at Nettlebed and lasted two minutes.

Mr Mellor, 50, of Churchill Crescent, said: “I am trying to collate reports and want to see if there is a pattern emerging and whether there are different types.

“I believe there are a lot of people who have seen things but haven’t talked about it because they think they would get laughed at but I wouldn’t laugh. If you have seen a UFO in the Henley area, please contact me — all information is held in confidence.”

Mr Mellor can be contacted on 01189 724834.
