TALKS have been held in a bid to resolve a row over an unlawful advertising sign in Peppard.
The Studio Gallery at Manor Farm has been asked by the parish council to remove its sign on the verge of the B481, or apply for planning permission, following a complaint by a resident.
Gallery owner C J Holding has insisted the sign is “harmless and unobtrusive”.
Parish council chairman David Hammond and parish clerk Linda Collison visited the gallery to discuss the issue with Miss Holding.
Ms Collison told a meeting of the council: “It was a good exchange and went very well.”
The Red Lion pub, off the B481, took down its sign after being warned by the council while Adams Taxis at Manor Farm has said it will apply for planning permission for its sign.
Greys Green Golf Course has agreed to remove its A-boards once Oxfordshire County Council has upgraded two directional signs while the Ruchetta restaurant has removed its sign.
