MORE than 300 copies of a book and documentary film commemorating the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations in Goring and Streatley have been sold.
Organiser Ron Bridle sold copies at the launch of the souvenirs in Goring arcade earlier this month and during the village’s late-night shopping event.
The 100-page book has 590 photos and Mr Bridle said: “I would have thought the whole village is either in the book or on the DVD. There are thousands and thousands of faces.” He said it was difficult collating the video footage for the 80-minute film because the contributions were in different digital formats.
“The final result is a really good record of the event and was worthwhile,” said Mr Bridle. “There has been an excellent response to both souvenirs and we expect to be sold out.”
The book and film together cost £25. To buy a set, email Mr Bridle at firstname.lastname@example.org
