PATHWAYS students at The Henley College planted 61 trees around the campus during last month.

The 20 birch, 20 rowan and 20 cherry trees as well as a royal oak were donated by the Woodland Trust for its Jubilee Woods Project.

College staff have been invited to support the project by sponsoring a tree. Funds raised will go towards a commemorative plaque.

The college’s pathways department provides students with learning difficulties and disabilities with the opportunity to experience a varied educational programme.

Meanwhile, environmental studies AS students have planted seeds around the college’s refurbished sports hall.


The ox eye daisies, forget-me-nots and poppies, all native species, will help to vegetate and stabilise the ground.

The seeds were a gift to the students from Project MAYA, a community interest company which promotes environmental sustainability.
