Appeal for volunteers
Published 11/02/13

MORE scout leaders are wanted in Watlington.

Volunteers are needed to run the beaver and explorer groups which meet in the scout hut and the sports pavilion. Beavers (aged six to eight) meet on Mondays from 6pm to 8pm and explorers (aged 14 to 18) meet on Fridays from 7pm to 9pm.

Group scout leader Zoe Bratt said: “We need someone for a couple of hours a week and maybe some planning time on top. If we had a few people we could look at running it on a rota basis.”

Mrs Bratt, who has been involved for five years, said the role was very rewarding, adding: “You get to know the children and the activities are good fun.”
