Freddie, whose father Ben is a cameraman, took only two days to shoot his film, which lasts just over three minutes.

He filmed Christmas trees in Christmas Common as well as St Mary’s Church in Henley on his Nikon Coolpix PS10. Freddie, a pupil at Gillotts School, has already made a number of short films which he uploaded on to YouTube. He said: “I am always looking for film competitions to enter. I won the Henley Youth Festival one earlier this year.”

Freddie won membership of the cinema which was presented by Regal marketing manager Jane Brian-Boys and a 50 Amazon voucher which was presented by Nigel White, commercial director of Higgs Group, publisher of the Henley Standard.

The other entries were from 1st Henley Brownies, Rachel Cook and Harry Cowley.

Julie Perigo, who organises the Living Advent Calendar, said: “We were thrilled with the quality and variety of the entries. Our finalists were all very different but all showed great creativity and skill, showcasing the talent of the young people who had produced them.

“We have already decided to earmark a night of next year’s calendar to another festive short film competition.”
