Early entries arrive for Top Dog
Published 27/05/14

THE first entries for Henley’s Top Dog have started to arrive — but don’t worry, you’ve still got time to enter your pet.

There are 535 worth of prizes to be won in this year’s competition, which is run by the Henley Standard and Naughty Mutt Nice and is now in its fifth year.

This time there will be only one winning woofer who will take home the coveted title plus one runner-up. Both will win a fabulous selection of prizes.

And even if you’ve entered the competition in previous years you can still do so again this year.

So what makes Henley’s Top Dog? It’s simple — we’re looking for a barkingly brilliant all-rounder.

The winning canine has to have looks and charm — and a photo or video to prove it.

To enter the competition, please send us a photo and/or video of your dog, plus no more than 200 words explaining why your four-legged pal should win the 2014 title of Henley’s Top Dog.

How to enter

You can post your entries via the Henley Standard Facebook page, or send them by email to topdog@ henleystandard.co.uk or to info@naughtymuttnice.com or you can send them by post to: Henley’s Top Dog 2014, Henley Standard, Caxton House, 1 Station Road, Henley, RG9 1AD. The closing date is Friday, August 22. The winning entry and runner-up will be chosen by the judges, Henley Standard editor Simon Bradshaw, Naughty Mutt Nice proprietor Aspen Weatherburn, Erik D’Arcy-Donnelly, of Henley Vets, and our guest judge, BBC Radio Berkshire presenter Mike Read.

The winning dog (and runner-up) will be announced in the Henley Standard and presented with the woof-tastic prizes by the judging panel.

Terms and conditions

All dogs can be entered in the competition, including past winners and runner-ups.

All prizes must be claimed by November 1, 2014. The prizes are non-refundable and there is no cash alternative. Normal Henley Standard competition rules apply and the editor’s decision is final.
