A BENSON school welcomed back a group from Madagascar who performed dances, songs and stories.
Christian group Ny Ako visited RAF Benson Community Primary School last week.
They are currently on a world tour lasting two months that they undertake every two years.
Headteacher Steph Fawdry said: “This is the group’s fifth visit to the school and, as always, they exceeded expectations with their vibrant and uplifting performance.
“It is always a highlight of our term when we can welcome our friends from Madagascar to our school and we wish them safe travels for the remainder of their trip. We very much look forward to seeing them again on their next tour in 2016.”
The group conducted workshops for the children in the afternoon and then followed this with an evening performance for the community.
They also brought with them traditional Malagasy crafts to sell.
They school held a “Big Breakfast” event to bid them a fond farewell and were able to donate ú100 to the group before they left for their next destination.
