ALLOTMENT holders in Wargrave have been bought new power tools by the parish council.
Councillors agreed to spend £250 on a strimmer and rotavator for use at the allotments off Recreation Road.
The tools and fuel to power them will be stored securely.
Town clerk Stephen Hedges said: “The allotments holders are having to use their own equipment at the moment at a cost so this request has been put forward to keep on top of the work that needs doing.”
The site is in the process of being renovated, with a new toilet block and refurbishment of the run-down tool shed.
Councillors have also agreed to consider widening the walkways for manure delivery, improving the water supply and changing the size of the individual plots.
