Entrepreneur guests at Queen Anne School
Published 18/08/14

QUEEN Anne School in Caversham celebrated the end of the academic year with its annual speech day and prize giving ceremony.

The guest speaker and prize-giver was entrepreneur and author Sahar Hashemi.

She founded Coffee Republic, the UK’s first US-style coffee bar chain with her brother.

The morning began with performances from a selection of music technology students and members of the talented and lively Saxoholics before chairman of governor’s, Vice Admiral Peter Dunt welcomed girls, parents and guests to the celebrations.

The theme for this year’s day was ‘game changing women’, a topic which featured throughout headmistress’ Julia Harrington’s speech.

Following the prizing giving ceremony the outgoing head girls - Saskia Hamilton-Bowker, 18, and Nilofar Samadi, 17 - also delivered a speech.
