THE Oxfam shop in Henley town centre is backing the Disasters Emergency Committee’s crisis appeal for people affected by the conflict in Gaza.
People can donate money to the appeal at the shop at 26 Market Place.
Deputy manager Deborah Pesci said: “We are urging the people of Henley to be as generous as they can and help us raise the funds to help the people of Gaza put their lives back together.
“We are only calling for money donations as this is the best way to help. We have all seen on our television screen the terrible scenes of destruction and heartbreaking stories of loss.
“Many are in desperate need of a roof over their heads, clean water, food and medical help.”
Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza have fled their homes as a result of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
